12月28日讯环足奖年度颁奖典礼正在进行中，费迪南德获评年度球员生涯奖。

46岁的费迪南德出自西汉姆青训，后转会利兹联，随后长期效力曼联。他还为英格兰队出战81场，贡献3球2助攻。

他俱乐部生涯共计出战690场，贡献13球11助攻。随队赢得了包括1座欧冠和6座英超在内的众多奖杯。费迪南德在2015年于女王公园巡游者正式退役。

环球足球奖（Globe Soccer Awards），是由迪拜体育局组织开展的迪拜国际体育大会的组成部分。奖项于2010年在迪拜创立，由欧洲足球经纪人协会和欧洲足球俱乐部协会主办，每年年底或次年年初会进行一次颁奖典礼。创办初衷是为了表彰足球领域优秀的经纪人和俱乐部经理人，从2011年起增设了最佳球员和最佳球队等奖项。
